A. ACM Student Chapter

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an international learned society for computing founded in 1947. RHU ACM Student Chapter is a Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery and was chartered on January 25, 2016.

The Chapter is organized and operated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes to promote the following:

• An increased knowledge of and greater interest in the science, design, development, construction, languages, management and applications of modern computing.
• Greater interest in computing and its applications.
• A means of communication between persons having an interest in computing

B. Design Society

Vision:

The vision of RHU’s Design Society is to drive the continuous development of Design (Architecture, interior, graphic, product, fashion…) through events, lectures, publications, and exhibits. It aims at promoting the appreciation of art and design through the exchange of ideas and information. RHU Design Society’s purpose is to draw the creative community together and increase the awareness of the value of Graphic Design in society. It focuses on encouraging collaborative innovation between various universities.

Objectives:

• Promote the value of Design in society through events, lectures, workshops, competitions and publications
• Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration between various RHU students (Engineering & Business); as well as students in other Lebanese universities
• Increase awareness and visibility of design in the Lebanese community
• Inform students and faculty about design events, lectures and workshops happening in the Lebanese Design community
• Encourage environmental, social and cultural responsibility through design
• Provide the necessary resources in the advancement of Design to increase knowledge
• Organize Design Events & Conferences
