The Alumni Association of Rafik Hariri University (RHUAA) was officially established on February 3, 2016. Registration statement numbered 205, dated February 3, 2016 and issued by the Lebanese Republic, Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, is the official legislative approval of the establishment. RHU is appreciative of the efforts of all the members of the Alumni Association Establishing Committee for believing and committing to the goal of supporting the university in bringing the alumni family together. The members are in alphabetical order: Nasser Ilham Al Baba, Omar Khodor Al Berjawi, Dana Mahmoud Al Bizri, Raed Suleiman Bou Karroum, Peter Pierre Chalhoub, Jamil Abdallah Fatfat, Marwan Ghassan Habbal, Aisha Talal Habli, Hiba Farouk Al Harakeh, Mohamad Abdallah Kaissi, Hisham Hassan Al Kotob, Rasha Mohamad Rayes El Mina, Tahani Abdulhafiz Sinjab, Adnan Issam Al Berjawi Yakzan, and Ziad Mohamad Zein.
RHU laid another milestone in its journey as the RHU Alumni Association elections opened for the first time to allow members of the Alumni Association Council to vote for six candidates among eight seeking the position of Administrative Board member. The President of the Association won by default, being the only candidate running for this position. The Office of Communication and Alumni Relations coordinated the election process on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at RHU, enabling alumni living abroad to participate in the elections, by voting securely online through the RHU Alumni Community Online portal.
Dr. Adnan Elberjawi Yakzan was elected by default as President of the Alumni Association being the only candidate running for this position. The elected members of the administrative board were: Mr. Nasr Baba, Ms. Dana Bizri, Ms. Nazek Bohsali, Mr. Ahmad Diab El-Arab, Mr. Hisham Kotob, and Ms. Tahani Sinjab Zahr. Mr. Peter Chalhoub, will be a synonymous member in case any of the elected members resigns or is incapable of assuming anymore his or her responsibility.
Following the announcement of results by the Vice President for Development, Mr. Hisham Kobrosli, Dr. Adnan Yakzan delivered a brief address thanking specifically all those who contributed to the success of the elections and briefed the attendees on the plans of the elected board.
In turn, RHU President, Dr. Riad Chedid, congratulated RHU for this milestone achievement and encouraged the elected board members to mark their two year term with social, cultural, and athletic activities that would engage the RHU alumni community.

RHU is pleased to introduce the RHU 2023-2025 Alumni Association Administrative Board members Mr. Khalid Zaatari, Ms. Dana Bizri, Ms. Nazek Bohsali, Mr. Karim Labban, Ms. Roula Mardini, Mr. Nader Merhi, and Mr. Abdul Ghani Sabeh Ayoun.
The RHUAA Administrative Board serves as a trustee and guardian on behalf of both the RHU alumni and the university. It acts to best represent the RHU alumni, instigate alumni relationships, inspire the alumni to develop and support the university mission, and innovate through an array of alumni engagement activities that involve RHU alumni worldwide.
The election of the 2023 RHU Alumni Association Administrative Board was on June 24 and 25. RHU had one nominee for the position of president and six for administrative board members. In this case of the lack of opposition, all candidates were elected by default. The new administrative board met on July 5, 2023, to discuss and specify the roles of its individual members.

Mr. Khalid Zaatari: President of RHUAA
Holding a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechatronics engineering and an MBA in oil and gas from RHU, Khalid Zaatari has two years of experience in management systems and worked with one of the leading ISO certification bodies in the region. Khalid focuses on empowering youth to lead their own business through entrepreneurship. His previous experience with Hult Prize Foundation led to inspiring the first winners of the 2018 Hult Prize Lebanon. His dedication to education allowed him to volunteer in the running of the 2019 Dare to Learn Festival in Helsinki, Finland.
Mr. Nader Merhi
Nader Merhi holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechatronics engineering and a minor in Business Administration from RHU. He possesses diverse skills that combine technical expertise with business acumen. Currently, Nader serves as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at a leading manufacturing company in Lebanon. Nader acquired extensive experience in planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating, executing tasks, creating procedures, leadership, and other pertinent skills.
Mr. Abdul Ghani Sabeh Ayoun
Mr. Abdul Ghani Sabeh Ayoun graduated with honors from RHU with a bachelor degree in accounting in 2020. He has two years of accounting and administrative experience and brings versatile skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and dealing with different customers and donors. He currently works as an accountant at Sandook al Zakat - Saida.
Ms. Dana Bizri
Ms. Dana El Bizri is an RHU Alumni Association establishing committee member and a 2016 RHU Alumni Association Administrative Board Member. Since she believes in the mission of the RHUAA, she onboarded herself for the 2023-2025 RHUAA term. During her junior year at RHU, she was selected amongst 4 Lebanese students for the Peace Scholarships Program, sponsored by the IIE, World Learning, and USAID, studied at the University of Michigan-Dearborn for one academic year, formed a network of connections with 25 students from 8 Arab countries, and experienced the melting pot of cultures in the US. Returning to RHU, she completed her bachelor’s degree in computer and communications engineering, with high distinction, and her MS degree at RHU. Ms. El Bizri began her career as a technical support engineer at Vanrise Solutions, a leading solutions provider for the telecom sector. She got promoted to Quality Manager after her direct contribution to achieving, in just seven months, the ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification for Vanrise. Today, Ms. El Bizri is the Global Alliances and Channels Manager at Vanrise. She focuses on developing business opportunities and playing a pivotal role with allied partners to drive a mutual Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and the assets for business enablement. After marking ten years of dedication and excellence in her career, she defines herself as a Driver of Business Success in ICT.
Ms. Nazek Bohsali:
With ten years of extensive experience in business administration and program coordination, Ms. Nazek Bohsali brings a wealth of expertise in program and performance management, reporting, and student mentoring. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master degree in Business Administration. She was elected an administrative board member during the 2016 RHU Alumni Association elections. She excelled in various roles at one of the top-notch universities in Lebanon, where she serves as the Lead Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the USAID Higher Education scholarship program. Her diverse background showcases her valuable contributions to business development, corporate social responsibility, and non-profit organizations, highlighting her breadth of knowledge and accomplishments.
Ms. Roula Mardini
Ms. Rola Mardini holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from RHU. She worked as a medical sales engineer and clinical biomedical engineer. She believes that good education, determination, and hard work keep you on the right track. She is a proud RHU alumna and sees a bright and promising future for all RHU students.
Mr. Karim Labban
Ms. Karim El Labban is an RHU class 2020 finance and banking graduate. He is a managing partner at Zincograph du Liban, a leading flexo plates supplier in the region and a world-class provider of packaging solutions.
