Assistant Professor of Computer and Communications Engineering

General information
Rafik Hariri University invites applications for a Full-time faculty position in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Assistant Professor rank. Successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Communications Engineering or Communications Engineering, from a recognized university, and exhibit passion to teaching, a firm commitment to student mentoring and learning and a record of research with emphasis in Communication and Antennas.
Duties and responsibilities

Successful candidate will commit to:
- Teaching communication engineering courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels; advising and mentoring of students; applying high impact teaching methods and modern instructional technologies; contributing to the modernization of the Computer and Communications Engineering curriculum, laboratories, and Communications courses.
- Conducting research and contributing to the RHU ongoing research projects; submitting proposals for funding, publishing research work in peer reviewed journals and conferences, and collaborating with peers on ongoing multidisciplinary research effort.
- Rendering service to the college, university, and community. Contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes as part of the Department’s continuous improvement process
- And supporting the recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students.
Educational and Special Requirements
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Communications Engineering or Communications Engineering, from a recognized university. A good publication track record is an advantage as well as experience in teaching Communications Engineering courses. The applicant must also have strong communication skills and a good command of English language. Applicants must display a commitment to scholarly work and research that will lead to journal and conference publications. The ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the public in general is required.
