Rafik Hariri University invites applications for a Full-time faculty position in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank. The successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, from a recognized university, and exhibit passion to teaching, a firm commitment to student mentoring and learning and a record of research with emphasis in Electrical Power Engineering.

The successful candidate will commit to:

• Teaching Electrical engineering courses and labs at the graduate and undergraduate levels; advising and mentoring of students; applying high impact teaching methods and modern instructional technologies; contributing to the modernization of the Electrical Engineering curriculum, laboratories, and courses.
• Conducting research and contributing to RHU ongoing research projects; submitting proposals for funding, publishing research work in peer reviewed journals and conferences, and collaborating with peers on ongoing multidisciplinary research effort.
• Rendering service to the college, university, and community. Contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes as part of the Department’s continuous improvement process
• And supporting the recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students.

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, from a recognized university. A good publication track record is an advantage as well as experience in teaching Electrical Engineering courses in the fields of renewable energy and/or Building management systems. The applicant must also have strong communication skills and a good command of English language. Applicants must display a commitment to scholarly work and research that will lead to journal and conference publications. The ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and the public in general is required.

Evidence of the applicant’s experience must be supported by a statement of teaching philosophy addressing vision, teaching methods, scholarly work and communication, and time management.
