The academic degrees for the 2023-2024 academic year will be conferred by the Rafik Hariri University at their upcoming Commencement Ceremony. This year's ceremony, which marks the 23rd annual commencement for the cohort, will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2028, on the beautiful green area of RHU's picturesque university campus in Mechref.
We expect all eligible graduate and undergraduate candidates who have completed their graduation requirements during the 2023-2024 academic year to attend the ceremony to receive their degrees.
The Registrar's Office will send an email to all eligible candidates with instructions on when and how to attend the ceremony. If you have not received an email, please contact the Registrar's Office for further investigation.
Please note that the booking for the commencement ceremony will close on May 9, 2024. You are required to confirm your participation or absence by this date at the latest by sending an email to the Registrar's Office at registrar@rhu.edu.lb. In the email, please include your ID number and name and indicate whether you will be present or absent for both the rehearsal and the commencement.
As a candidate, it is important that you wear the appropriate academic costume, which consists of a gown, cap, and hood, during the ceremony. The color of the hood corresponds to the college you are graduating from. The RHU Registrar and Bookstore will advise you about which gown(s)/hood(s) you will need for your Commencement Ceremony. Hoods are blue for the College of Business Administration, red for the College of Engineering, and green for the College of Arts and Sciences.
You can receive your academic costumes from the Academic Costumes room, located at B105, between Monday, April 8 to Thursday, May 16, 2024.
If you're eligible to attend the 2024 Commencement and have already acquired your academic costume, you can get a certain number of tickets for your parents and relatives from the Registrar's Office. The distribution of tickets will take place from April 18 to May 9, 2024, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Guests with a ceremony ticket will be ushered to designated seats for attending the ceremony. In case graduates bring additional guests, or if guests lose their tickets, they will be denied entry.
The seating arrangement will be on a first-come, first-seated basis, so it is advisable to request your family and friends to arrive early if they wish to acquire better seats or sit together.
This day is a special occasion, so please wear formal clothing under your gowns. The dress code is of utmost importance, and we kindly request that you comply with it.
