Ms. Maya Maatouk is a Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineer currently serving as an instructor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at Rafik Hariri University (RHU), Lebanon. She holds a Master of Science in Mechatronics Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and a Mechanical Engineering Diploma from the Lebanese University – Faculty of Engineering.

With a solid foundation in robotics, automation, and control systems, Ms. Maatouk has taught and developed coursework in key subjects including Control of Robotic Systems, Mechatronics Programming with ROS, CAD/CAM/CAE using SolidWorks, Fluid Power Systems, Instrumentation and Measurements, and Autotronics. She has also worked as a software analyst and designer at Universal Robots A/S in Turin, Italy, where she developed automation software solutions and supported practical robotics education.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of robotics, ROS, control systems, and smart automation. She is passionate about integrating advanced technologies into engineering education and applied research, with a particular focus on resilient autonomous systems and intelligent control."
