Commemorating the 13th anniversary of the assassination of Martyr Rafik Hariri, RHU faculty, students and staff gathered on February 13 to plant a tree, reflect on his awesome legacy of giving and wonder “what-if”.
One lesson, the President said, we should remember today is that Rafik Hariri never in his political and public life scooped to the level of gutter politics no matter how negative and vicious the campaign against him. He always ran the high road of constructive dialogue, never compromising the values of respect, tolerance, positive engagement and passion to serve – values that we all must live by and desperately search for in our leaders today to foster a positive discourse.”
