The RHU College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, hosted Mr. Marc Khayat, technical manager of the Cisco Networking Academy, covering Middle East and North Africa. The seminar “Jumpstart your Career with Cisco Certifications” was held in the main theater on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. It is worth noting that RHU is a certified CISCO Academy since 2017. Hence, the seminar was followed by the distribution of CISCO certifications for the students who successfully finished CCNA last year.
Mr. Marc Khayat delivered a presentation on the CISCO Networking Academy and the different courses they offer for students, IT, and faculty to boost their knowledge in the fields of networking and programming. “In a highly competitive job market, certifications from a renowned company or institution is a great add-on for a student’s CV and a booster to easily find a job,” he indicated.
Rafik Hariri University became accredited by the International CISCO Academy after signing an MOU on May 2, 2017 at the central administration in the Lebanese University during the 2017 CISCO Academy Partner’s Forum. Accordingly, RHU can train RHU and non-RHU students to get certified by CISCO in the field of computer networks.
