The Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT) that aims to showcases the natural beauty and cultural wealth of Lebanon's mountains. It is the first long-distance hiking trail, 470-km (293 miles) path that stretches between Andqet in the north to Marjaayoun in the south. Hiking on this trail that transects more than 75 towns and villages at 570 to 2,011 meters altitudes (about 1,840-6,000 feet) above sea level, reveals the strong will of the rural people to preserve their unique heritage and foster environmentally- and socially-responsible tourism in their areas.
