Body language and public speaking focus of a seminar at RHU

Body language and public speaking were the topic of a seminar by RHU College of Arts on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the MEA Conference Hall. RHU hosted art educator, director, trainer and voice over lecturer in a number of Arabic TVs, Mr. Mahmoud Majed. He highlighted the importance of body language, like gestures, facial expressions, eyes, body movements and posture, as well as intonation in public speaking in conveying a message or communicating with people.

The speaker motivated the audience to pay attention to the movements and gestures when interacting with people which will allow them to better understand the message. “The audience decides within seconds whether to trust the speaker through the way he or she presents himself or herself regardless of what the speaker will say later,” he said.

As one of the Arab world’s renowned directors, Mr. Mahmoud is a lively inspirer and highly-active resource in producing, scriptwriting, developing documentaries and directing TV shows. For a period of time he has not only directed morning shows, promotions, ads, cultural and entertainments programs, children video clips, beauty pageants, cooking program and trained anchors and voice over of many Mexican series, but also acted in the secret pocket where he was nominated best actor
