As part of its career guidance and academic development strategy, the RHU Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department hosted mechatronics engineering student Mr. Ali Wehbe on September 26, 2023, as the RHU first Double Degree student at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences.
MME students interested in following in his footsteps and seeking the double degree program between RHU and Mannheim University attended the seminar in the MEA Conference Hall.
During his talk, Ali walked the attendees through the milestones of applying and joining the double degree program between RHU and Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. Early preparations for getting the visa, expectations upon arrival, and the main challenges at Mannheim were the major topics covered in his talk.
I was well prepared at RHU to pursue the double degree program, as evidenced by my excellent grades at Mannheim. Depend on yourself, work hard, and do not let anything hinder you from reaching your target, said Ali.
In addition, RHU MME Chair and Associate Professor Dr. Nadim Diab emphasized other academic opportunities with Mannheim, such as the student exchange program with scholarships that cover all essential expenses during the stay at Mannheim. Rafik Hariri University and Hochschule Mannheim - Mannheim University of Applied Sciences established a bachelor's double degree program in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering in July 2021. First-of-its-kind in Lebanon, this program allows RHU students to take coursework on a coordinated basis at both institutions.
