Hult Prize at RHU organized “Q&A with Entrepreneurs” event on September, 25, 2019 that hosted esteemed social and technical entrepreneurs. The event succeeded in gathering five top-tier entrepreneurs, founders and CEOs in the same panel. It connected over 75 students with guests who were able to motivate and inspire each and every one of them in a unique way.
The event was open to RHU students, faculty and staff members. It began with introducing the new Hult at RHU committee, partners of the year, and guest speakers. Then RHU President, Dr. Makram Suidan, welcomed the attendees and delivered a word that mainly answered the question: “What it takes to form a winning team?” He remunerated the most essential promoters for winning: “A group of people that can work together; Spend more time thinking less time doing; and a project that is sustainable for our region.”
The guest speakers included co-founder and CEO of Carpolo, Mr. Ralph Khairallah, founder of Civvies and Deeds, Ms. Aya Hotiet, founder and CEO of Hogwarts of Engineers, Mr. Mostafa Najem, and co-founders of Heatechs (2018 Hult Prize Lebanon winning team from RHU), Ms. Rabab Kawtharani as CFO and Mr. Jawad Haidar as CEO.
The event allowed the students and influencers to discuss several topics and ask multiple questions related to social and technical issues, where all guests offered life changing advice to the attendees.
Each year, the Hult award presents a new challenge for social entrepreneurs. The teams that are able to reach the final round are those that have developed entirely new concepts that can impact the world in a positive way.
