On April 17, the IEEE RHU Student Branch, in partnership with IEEE WIE Lebanon, Semicolon Academy, and the RHU Personal and Development Society, and sponsored by Al Baba Sweets, hosted a highly successful 3-hour workshop focused on ethical hacking and cybersecurity. The event brought together a diverse group of tech enthusiasts and cybersecurity professionals, offering participants hands-on experience through live hacking labs and real-world bug bounty cases. Attendees gained valuable insights into digital security challenges and were empowered with the practical skills needed to pursue careers in cybersecurity.

Participants learned key ethical hacking techniques, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, from industry experts. Throughout the session, the featured speakers shared professional insights on real bug bounty cases, demonstrating how cybersecurity professionals uncover vulnerabilities and protect critical digital infrastructure. Participants also had the chance to practice their skills in real-time labs that simulated actual cybersecurity challenges.

“This workshop was more than just a learning experience; it’s an entry point into the world of ethical hacking,” said Ibrahim Kadery, one of the featured speakers. “The live labs and expert insights made it a must-attend for anyone serious about tech.”

The IEEE RHU Student Branch continues to offer opportunities for students to engage with professionals and gain hands-on experience in tech fields.
