The RHU EMBS Society board members, Dima Aboughoush, Karen Shoukair, Lynn Yassine, Rama Ghalayini, Mira Hajjar, and Mohamad Zakaria Nachawaty, as well as Society advisor Professor Dr. Mohamad Diab and current biomedical engineering students, attended the 7th International Conference on Advances in Biomedical Engineering (ICABME) at La Sagesse University's Faculty of Engineering on October 12-13, 2023. The Conference provided an excellent platform for students and academics from different parts of the world, including Lebanon, to network and exchange innovative ideas and insights that will contribute to the advancement of biomedical engineering.
Thanks to the support of the RHU EMBS Society, RHU students pursuing biomedical engineering had the opportunity to attend this important Conference. The Conference featured presentations from professors from Lebanon and other countries as well as colleagues. RHU biomedical engineering graduate Ghina Shaaban gave a brief presentation on her study of the classification of EEG signals in Alzheimer's disease.
RHU seniors benefited significantly from the conference as they were able to attend talks on research areas that were relevant to their Final Year Projects (FYPs).
