RHU’s 2022 Biomedical Engineering graduate Sara Mashmoushi completed her master's program in "Computational Neuroscience and Neuroengineering" at Université Paris-Saclay, France. She has now begun her PhD at the Groupe de Recherches sur l'Analyse Multimodale de la Fonction Cérébrale (GRAMFC) in Amiens, where she is studying the impact of specific EEG features on brain connectivity in premature neonates.
During her master's studies, Sara completed courses on the physiological bases of neuroscience and the processing and analysis of neural signals. She also undertook a six-month research internship at the Institut des Neurosciences Paris-Saclay (NeuroPSI), where she collaborated with a dedicated team on a project to construct the initial framework for a virtual brain model of a rat in partnership with the Institut de Neurosciences des Systèmes (INS) in Marseille.
Sara says, "The knowledge and skills I developed during my time at RHU not only provided me with a solid foundation but also allowed me to actively engage in discussions and practical applications within the program, instilling a sense of confidence in my abilities."
