Another RHU alumni success story unfolds this week as electrical engineering graduate Abla Hariri successfully defends her PhD dissertation at
Florida International University, in Miami, Florida, USA, on November 8, 2018, bringing great joy and pride to her alma mater.
Entitled “Secure Large Scale Penetration of Electric Vehicles in the Power Grid,” her research includes a patent pending (“Internet of Electric Vehicle Decision-Support System for Public Charging of EVs”) and several IEEE transactions and conference articles. Dr. Abla presented her work at several reputable conferences in different states in the US and published in other international conferences.
Moreover, and as part of her professional development activity, she served as a main co-organizer of an international conference, the IEEE CEFC 2016, that took place in Miami. She was recognized in the Student Life Awards ceremony at FIU, in the category of the Graduate Student Leader of the Year.
Dr. Abla completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in
Electrical Engineering degrees at Rafik Hariri University in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
