RHU alumnus Wassim Hariri is one of 139 participants, from 39 different countries, of the 10th International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME) taking place in Kuwait between January 28 and 31, 2018. His invention SASHA, the smart autonomous robot to fully automate food distribution in hospitals and shape the future of health care, is one among two inventions from Lebanon accepted to be part of the exhibition. Rafik Hariri University sponsored Wassim’s participation in this event. The winner invention will be announced during a special ceremony at 7:00 pm tomorrow January 31, 2018.
The IIFME is deemed the second largest international exhibition and the most significant one in the Middle East. It is organized by the Kuwait Science Club under the patronage of His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in close collaboration with the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
This unique Middle East convention highlights the inventions and innovations of youth. It is also deemed as an opportunity to strengthen the relationships among the inventors, the companies and corporations visiting the convention. Organizing it in the Middle East is a significant achievements by the Kuwait Science Club and the sponsoring authorities for this exhibition.
