The winners of the 10th International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME), organized under the Patronage of his Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, were announced during the convention’s final ceremony on January 31, 2018. RHU alumnus, Mr. Wassim Hariri, won the silver medal. His invention SASHA, ranked second place among 38 other inventions competing in the same category.
The Lebanese ambassador Mr. Maher Kheir hosted Mr. Hariri and the other Lebanese inventors in the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait. He was also present at the convention’s final ceremony. Moreover, Mr. Talal al Khorafi, CEO of Kuwait Science Club, got in touch with Mr. Hariri following the exhibition to discuss further means of collaboration. Mr. Hariri succeeded in meeting several investors to deliberate the possibility of introducing SASHA in the GCC market.
RHU alumnus Wassim Hariri was one of 139 participants, from 39 different countries in the (IIFME). His invention SASHE is the smart autonomous robot that fully automates food distribution in hospitals and shapes the future of healthcare.
Rafik Hariri University has sponsored Mr. Hariri’s participation in this event and is extremely proud of his unique achievement and persistence.
This unique Middle East convention highlights the inventions and innovations of youth. It is also deemed as an opportunity to strengthen the relationships among the inventors, the companies and corporations visiting the convention. Organizing it in the Middle East is a significant achievements by the Kuwait Science Club and the sponsoring authorities for this exhibition.
