A productive meeting took place between Dr. Mahmoud Hassan, CEO and Founder of MinDig Company in Rennes, France, and the leadership of Rafik Hariri University (RHU). The focus of the meeting was to formalize an ongoing collaboration between the two institutions, aimed at bridging academia and industry through various initiatives.

RHU President Dr. Said Ladki and Provost Dr. Mahmoud Halablab presented RHU’s ambitious initiative to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its academic programs. Dr. Hassan highlighted the importance of connecting AI with neuroscience, marking a significant point in their discussions about future collaborations.


Dr. Mohamad Diab, Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, provided updates on the progress of doctoral student Ms. Milana Kassab, who is conducting groundbreaking research in partnership with MinDig and Jean Monnet University. This interdisciplinary work emphasizes the strong partnership between the institutions and their commitment to advancing knowledge in AI and neuroscience.

At the conclusion of the meeting, all parties agreed to explore the formation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU shall strengthen academic and research ties between RHU and MinDig Company.
