RHU took part in the 2017 Marathon Village in BIEL, November 8 - 11, and the BLOM BANK Beirut Marathon, Sunday November 12, organized by the Beirut Marathon Association. RHU ran for Himaya NGO in support of its cause of preventing child abuse.
With great enthusiasm, faculty, staff and students supported the Student Affairs Office at the university booth to provide information about RHU to passersby in the Marathon village. More than 40,000 people visited the marathon village during the 4 days of the exhibition and many collected an admissions guide and inquired about the programs of study at RHU.
Moreover, a group of faculty, staff and students participated in the 2017 Beirut Marathon Fun Run, running for RHU in support of Himaya. RHU Athletics Department also operated water and cheering stations during the marathon, giving out water and cheering for the marathon runners. To spice up the whole experience, RHU Communication and Alumni Relations office introduced an RHU selfies box photo booth which allowed participants in the marathon, who happened to pass by the university’s cheering station, to have their memory photos taken.
