The Under 18 Lebanese men's basketball team qualifies for the finals of the World Championship to be held next year in Budapest, following an overwhelming victory over the Philippines today (99-83). Among the scorers for Lebanon were RHU students Abdel Rahman Sabbagh (scored 6) and Alaa Sabbagh (scored 4).
This win also qualified the national team to the semi-finals of the Asian Championship.
RHU students Abed and Alaa Sabbagh were selected to participate with the U18 Lebanese national team in the West Asia Basketball Championship earlier in July.
