RHU Languages and Humanities Department Chair, Dr. Hiam Lotfi, along with faculty members Ms. Mira Alamedine (former RHU faculty member) and Ms. Hala Ahwal published a book on Communication and Ethics through LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing on August 4, 2016.
The book discusses teaching Business English and Technical Communication (L2) for learners whose first language is Arabic, incorporating procedures which instructors must address such as negative interference.
Furthermore, Arab students see learning English in general, Business communication and technical writing in specific, as an asset to further their careers. The book examines how using inquiry based model of instruction and learning will help those learners acquire communication skills faster.
Finally, this book sheds light on the importance of teaching of ethics to the community as a whole and to university students in particular.
