On March 16, 2017, RHU Finance Society participated in one of Lebanon’s most important annual conferences on Economics and Finance. The Forum took place under the high patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the Phoenicia Hotel Beirut. The transfer of academic knowledge to a “real world” setting is of utmost important to the College of Business Administration and this has been exemplified by the presence of RHU students at this event.
Opening the ceremony were keynote addresses by Prime Minister Saad Hariri and the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Dr. Riad Salameh. Present at the event were over 300 participants from around the Arab world and most notably, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Ghassan Hasbani, Minister of Economy and Trade Mr. Raed Khoury, Minister of State for Administrative Development Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine, former ministers and ambassadors from the Gulf and Arab countries, and heads of economic organizations.
The Forum was organized by the Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, and the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon.
