For the first time in any university in Lebanon, Rafik Hariri University College of Engineering conducted the Engineering Summative Learning Exam (ESLE), an exam similar to the Fundamental Engineering Exam adopted by the United States of America. The main aim is to get RHU students better aware of their learning progress and prepare them for similar assessments in their professional careers.
Final year Engineering students from all majors, who are currently pursuing their Summative Learning Project, participated in the ESLE on Friday February 16.
The exam was held in a professional yet friendly environment, emulating the process followed in the FE exam. It was divided into two 2-hour sessions. The first session was the General Part common for all Engineering students, and included four topics: Physics, Mathematics, Engineering Economics, and Ethics and Business Practice. The second session was the Specialized Part specific for each major, and included four preselected topics from each discipline.
