The Design Department at RHU’s College of Arts and Sciences recently took part in an enriching and forward-thinking workshop titled “Graphic Design in Artificial Intelligence,” organized by the Lebanese Graphic Design Syndicate. Hosted at the Sin El Fil Municipality, the event brought together students, educators, and design professionals for an in-depth exploration of how artificial intelligence is transforming the creative industry.
Titled “Graphic Design in Artificial Intelligence,” the workshop kicked off with a thought-provoking overview of technological evolution in the design field. Mr. El Bacha emphasized a key message: While AI is a powerful tool, it can never replace the intellectual depth, communication skills, and creative thinking of a talented designer.
The session explored a range of AI-powered platforms, including Adobe, Canva, Fotor, Designhill, Copilot, and Hatchful, showcasing how these tools can support and elevate the design process. Throughout, Mr. El Bacha stressed the ongoing importance of human insight, creativity, and ethical responsibility.
Mr. El Bacha concluded the workshop by addressing the ethical and legal implications of integrating AI into the design industry, a critical topic for today’s and tomorrow’s professionals. To cap off the event, certificates of attendance were awarded to participating students, and Ms. Maryam Al Khatib received a special Adobe voucher in recognition of her engagement.
