The annual Student Representative Committee Elections have begun, kicking off with an orientation session on October 16, 2023, in the MEA Conference Hall by Mrs. Sahar Hallak, the Assistant Director of the Student Affairs Office. The session aimed to introduce students to the election process and encourage them to vote.
Many students from several departments showed interest in gaining knowledge about the election process. In Ms. Hallak's words, "RHU fully believes in students' participation in the decision-making process. Your voice matters."
Candidacy for the elections began on October 17 and will continue until October 20. This will be followed by a campaigning period from October 25 to 27, during which the SRC candidates will announce their programs on October 26 in the Main Theatre to convince students to vote for them. On October 30, there will be a silent day, followed by the elections on October 31.
One committee will represent the university, and the SRC will include nine students from the various colleges elected by secret ballot to represent their respective colleges.
