On February 13, 2024, the #RHU Student Representative Committee (SRC) and the RHU Alumni Association commemorated the 19th anniversary of the assassination of its founder, H.E. Late Prime Minister Martyr Rafik Hariri, at 11:00 a.m. in the MEA Conference Hall.
The event started with the Lebanese national anthem, followed by a moment of silence in honor of Martyr Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. Neamat Kurdy, the President of RHU-SRC, was the master of the ceremony. The occasion included speeches by the SRC delivered by the SRC Secretary, Mr. Mouaz Kabbour, and the University students, Mr. Kamal Al Arab.
Dr. Nazih Najim, this year’s event's special guest, delivered an inspiring speech about Rafik Hariri as a person. He spoke about how Rafik Hariri started as a regular man from a non-affluent family and grew into a successful businessman and a person for ALL Lebanese, irrespective of their religion or doctrine.
The event concluded with a video about Rafik Hariri and planting an olive tree on the RHU campus as a symbol of peace, marking the enduring legacy that Prime Minister Hariri always hoped for our beloved country.
