The RHU Sustainable Campus Initiative Committee organized a seminar on March 26th, at the MEA Conference Hall. The seminar aimed to reconnect students with nature and featured guest speakers Mr. Alfred Farwagi and Ms. Salam Khalife. They represented the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT), a long-distance hiking trail that passes through the country's breathtaking mountains.
The seminar was not just a lecture, but an invitation to adventure. Farwagi and Khalife shared the wonders of the LMT, the achievements of the LMT Association, and their efforts to promote ecotourism and preserve Lebanon's natural heritage.
The seminar concluded by discussing the possibility of setting a date for a guided exploration of the Mechref Damour area. This local adventure would enable students to discover the hidden gems of Mechref and experience nature's beauty firsthand, right in their backyard. The RHU committee's goal is to inspire students to follow in their ancestors' footsteps and embrace a life enriched by the outdoors.
