The IEEE RHU Student Branch in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, in collaboration with WIE Lebanon and Semicolon, successfully hosted an engaging, hands-on Kali Linux Workshop on Ethical Hacking on April 8, 2025. The workshop was delivered by Omar Al Halabi, a computer and communication engineering student at RHU, and provided participants with a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of cybersecurity.

The session introduced students to the fundamentals of ethical hacking, offering interactive and practical experience. Attendees had the chance to explore various Linux-based security tools used by professionals to safeguard digital environments. Throughout the workshop, Omar emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in today’s increasingly digital world, giving students real-world insights into how ethical hackers work to protect systems.
