October 16 was the election day for the RHU Student Representative Council (SRC). This year 14 students ran for the SRC elections representing their colleges and programs of study. Participation was open to a total of 738 eligible students who flocked to the polling stations in room B 202 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to cast their votes. The Student Affairs Office announced eight winners of which seven are from the main campaign “Stronger Together”.
The winners are:
College of Engineering: Ahmad Shawki Charkieh, Zahraa Bassyouni and Ali Serhal.
College of Business Administration: Baraa Al Hariri and Mohammad Rawas
College of Sciences and Information Systems: Mahmoud Mansour
College of Arts: Shereen Hallab
Freshman Program: Maya Afara
Students voted with great enthusiasm and in support to addressing main student issues and concerns. The election results exhibited a solid belief in democracy, transparency, and team work.
