In coordination with IEEE Lebanon Section, the RHU IEEE Student Branch coordinated a visit to the Alfa headquarters at Dekweneh on Thursday, May 10, 2018. RHU Students in the electrical and computer engineering department visited the site to learn about the operations of this mobile network and how it delivers its services to Lebanon’s mobile sector.
The students first attended a presentation that provided an overview of Alfa and its activities, vision, and commitments to serving the Lebanese society. Then, they visited the main switch center at Alfa that holds the telecom equipment used to operate the mobile services in Lebanon.
They also visited the Network Operation Center, where employees monitor the coverage all over Lebanon and detect any problem in any area. Moreover, Alfa engineers showed the students one of the sites they have on the roof of the company's building.
