On the occasion of the Lebanese Independence, the Office of Student Affairs at Rafik Hariri University organized a friendly football game between the teams of the Internal Security Forces and RHU on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
The event was attended by the Director General of the Internal Security Forces Major General Imad Osman represented by Colonel Dr. Moussa Kerneeb, Head of the Division of Human Resources.
The head of the student body at Rafik Hariri University, the student Hassan Al Jazairly, delivered a welcoming speech in which he thanked the ISF for their hospitality on this national occasion. He said, "Our University has always celebrated the Independence Day and given it the status it deserves in its annual calendar. This activity comes in harmony with the RHU mantra, "I Care." Our attention to national events is worthy attention, because we cannot live as people without a homeland, and if we lose the homeland, we lose our existence and our security and our lives and our future.”
The music secret in the security forces started the meeting with the play of the anthem of the security forces and some national music to welcome RHU professors and staff and students.
Rafik Hariri University, represented by the Acting Director of the Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Taha, gave an Honorary Shield for Major General Emad Osman received by Colonel Kerneeb and took the memorial photos with the two teams before the start of the enthusiastic match that ended with the victory of the Internal Security Forces team 6-5.
Colonel Kerneeb received the match cup and the goalkeeper of the security forces team received the best player MVP of the match.
