• I have registered my courses online during the Registration Period; however the courses I selected are not showing on my schedule. I need to know why and am I considered registered or not?

This means that you selected the courses you need to register, but you did not continue registration to the final step, consequently you are considered not registered.

The best way to make sure that your registration is complete is to click on Register/Drop Button

The word Register will appear next to the registered courses.

• I missed to register during the Official Registration Period. When can I register, and is there any late charges?

You can register during the Drop and Add period (check calendar for dates), and you have to pay a late registration fee of L.L. 120,000.

• I am planning to transfer to another university, can I withdraw the original documents I submitted to RHU?

No, you cannot take back the original documents because they are part of your permanent record at RHU.

• I am having problems in logging to RHUSIS, whom should I Contact?

• I need to know who my Academic Advisor is.

You need to check with your department, and the name also shows on your SIS by clicking: Academics ⇒  Degree Audit.

• What is the maximum number of credits I can register for?

If you are freshman or sophomore you can register for a maximum of 15 credits. Other classes can register for a maximum of 18 credits.

• What if I need to register for more than 18 credits?

You have to petition your department and get the approval of both the advisor and the chair. Registering for more than 18 credits is done at the Registrar’s Office only.

• What is the proper procedure to follow if I need to change major?

You have to secure the approval of both your current advisor and the Dean of the program/college you are transferring to by filling and submitting the appropriate petition forms.

• Can I drop a course after the Drop and Add period?

Dropping a course is permitted only during the Drop and Add period. You can withdraw from a course after the Drop and Add period by filling a Withdrawal form and securing the approval of both your advisor and the faculty teaching the course. The form will be sent later to the Registrar’s Office who will withdraw you from the course.

Withdrawing from a course is subject to a deadline (check University Calendar).

• Can a friend request and collect an attestation/transcript form?

You have to send an email to the Registrar’s Office stating who is the person you are assigning to collect documents on your behalf, and the Registrar’s Office will proceed with your request.

• How many times I can repeat a course?

You are allowed to register a course for a maximum of three times including withdrawals.

• I am trying to access the RHUSIS but it shows that I am on hold, what does this mean?

A hold means that you have a pending issue with one of RHU departments. There are different kinds of holds such as Registration Hold, Financial Hold, and Admissions Hold…………

Kindly follow the below steps:

1) Open Rafic Hariri University website: rhu.edu.lb, then click on Student IS a new page will appear.

• What is the best browser I can use with RHUSIS?

IExplorer latest version. You can access RHUSIS using your smart phones, IPad.

• Who is allowed to see my records?

Your academic advisor, the Department Chair and Dean can have access to your records.

• What are the steps to follow when registering a course online?

1) Access RHUSIS. Click on Academics ⇒ Online Registration ⇒ Begin Online Registration (see figure below)

2) To select your courses repeat from step 1 till step 4 as shown below , then step five (Proceed to Final Step) to continue registration

3) To register your courses click on the Register/Drop Button

4) The screen will refresh and the course(s) Status will change from Selected to Registered

• I am trying to register a course for a raise of grade purpose; however it is not showing on the list of courses?

Kindly pass by the IT department to add the course for you as a future course so you will be able to register it during registration period.

• I am on academic probation; what is the maximum number of credits I can register for?

You can register for a maximum of 13 credits if you are on probation.
