The Student Emergency Fund (SEF) aims to alleviate the financial hardships facing RHU students due to the collapse of the financial system in Lebanon. It intends to support as many needy students as possible by minimizing the financial burden of the cost of their education and allowing them to focus on the most important aspect of their university life, learning.

Meet the Founders

RHU expresses its sincere gratitude to its founders, Ms. Thana Khodr Hussein (Senior Mechatronics Engineering) and Ms. Ayla Naji Khayat (Senior Finance and Banking). These two students were commissioned by RHU President, Dr. Makram Suidan, to establish the Student Emergency Fund in November 2021 in collaboration with the Communication and Alumni Relations Office.

We are Committed to Good Stewardship

RHU SEF is committed to good stewardship of all donors. It shall:

• Use donor data effectively;
• Manage the donations in accordance with the wishes of the donors;
• Update all donors of the names of the beneficiaries and the impact their charitable donations have on the recipients; and
• Keep donors involved with RHU news and updates that might impact the beneficiaries and the donors.

2023 SEF Targets

In 2023, we hope to raise USD 10,000 and support more RHU students.

RHU SEF welcomes donations to the RHU fresh dollar and fresh lira accounts. You can also make your contribution in cash to the SEF account at RHU Finance Department.
